Amman, 8 October 2021 (TDI): Nasser Shraideh, the Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation met with Flemming Møller Mortensen, the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation. The Danish minister was accompanied by a delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides deliberated on enhancing developmental and economic cooperation. The Jordanian minister advised his counterpart to increase his country’s assistance in the economic sphere. He emphasized on optimization of the Arab-Danish partnership program to generate employment and increased economic opportunities. Economic collaboration is the way forward to deepen the partnership between Jordan and Denmark.
The agenda of the Danish delegation was to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as the regional situation. The Syrian refugee crisis and its impact on Jordan as well as the efforts to help the refugees also came under discussion. The Danish minister on his part expressed his country’s support for Jordan.
