Copenhagen, 15 September 2021 (TDI): Denmark celebrates ‘International Day of Democracy’. Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Denmark cherishes its core values of Democracy and Human Rights.
The Danish Foreign Ministry took to twitter to celebrate. It also drew attention to how technology should work for democracy. The ‘Tech for Democracy’ is supposed to bring together Multinational technology giants, international organizations, and governments, to strengthen democracy and human rights.
Danish democracy dates back to 1849, with the enforcement of Danish Constitution. With the passage of time, the constitutional values of democracy, freedom of speech, and human rights have strengthened in Danish society.
The tech for democracy will take place in the UN City at Copenhagen in November this year.
