Islamabad, 20 August 2021 (TDI): The Danish Foreign Minister, Jeppe Kofod in a conversation with the Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday appreciated Pakistan’s cooperation with the Danish evacuation missions in Afghanistan.
Pakistan is facilitating Denmark by providing an evacuation base for Danish and Afghan citizens in Islamabad. 431 people were safely taken in. Earlier this week, the Danish PM Metter Frederiksen conveyed her thanks for assistance in the evacuation efforts to her counterpart PM Imran Khan. The Pakistani side has vowed to uphold the “values of peace, friendship, and humanity for all,” said FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a tweet.
