Czech Ambassador calls on Mongolia’s Deputy Foreign Minister

Ulaanbaatar, 26 October 2021 (TDI): The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, B. Munkhjin met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia, Jiri Brodski. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss issues pertaining to mutual interests. The meeting was held on 25th October.

During the diplomatic engagement, the two sides discussed issues related to the protection of Mongolian citizens in the Czech Republic. Other aspects deliberated upon in the meeting were related to the expansion of bilateral trade, investment, and mutual sports activities.

The Czech Republic and Mongolia enjoy diplomatic relations which were established on 25 April 1950. At that time both states were communist. After the 1992 dissolution of Czechoslovakia, Mongolia confirmed its relations with the newly formed Czech Republic in 1993.

The meeting was attended by Judoka Lukas Krpalek, two-time Olympic champion, Honorary Consul of Mongolia to the Czech Republic, and head of the Criminal and Investigation Service of the Czech Republic.
