Cuba to Take Part in World Conference of Parliament Speakers


Havana, 7 September 2021 (TDI): Cuba is all set to participate in the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, being held in Austria with effect from 7th to 8th September 2021.

The Cuban delegation is headed by Ana María Mari Machado, who operates as the Vice President of the National Assembly of People’s Power. The Conference is being organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU ) and the Austrian Parliament, in association with the United Nations Organization.

The Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is indicated to have the highest level of parliamentary representation since more than 110 legislative heads worldwide are looking forward to addressing the event in Vienna. The Conference will be followed by the First Global Parliamentary Meeting regarding ‘Counter-Terrorism’ on 9th September 2021.
