To pay attention to the Indonesian citizens, the Indonesian Consulate General in Davao led by Consul General Dr. Achmad Djatmiko paid a visit to Tibanban, Philippines, Governor Generoso on January 29, 2023.

Davao, 1 February 2023 (TDI): The Indonesian Consulate General in Davao led by Consul General Dr. Achmad Djatmiko visited Tibanban for Indonesian citizens. This visit took place on January 29, 2023.

The visit of the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia is important because there is a Border Crossing Station (BCS) run by Indonesian Liaison Officer (ILO) Major Angga Prasetyo and many Indonesian people live in the area and nearby.

On this occasion, it was conveyed that Indonesian citizens were the responsibility of the Indonesian government. It was also emphasized that the Indonesian Consulate General was present and cared for Indonesian citizens, and is ready to protect them.

Moreover, the Indonesian Consul General also encouraged Indonesian citizens to be more advanced in life. They also underlined to report if there are problems faced and needed assistance from the Indonesian Consulate General in Davao.

Indonesian citizens were happy with the Consul General’s visit and hope to always provide assistance and guidance if there are problems in the area with citizenship matters.

In the face-to-face dialogue, the discussion encompassed consular affairs, the protection of Indonesian citizens, education, and immigration.

Also discussed are some of the problems experienced at BCS Tibanban, both in terms of the number of passers, and the obstacles and challenges faced. Furthermore, the condition of the facilities and infrastructure at BCS Tibanban was also highlighted.

The Indonesian Consulate General in Davao City DWP also had the opportunity to provide direction to Indonesian citizens, especially women, to develop an attitude of economic independence and hope that life will progress further in the future.

It also provides food assistance for Indonesian products. He also hoped that the children of Indonesian citizens will continue their education at the Indonesian school in Davao.
