Islamabad, 8 May 2023 (TDI): During a meeting between Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto and the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Pakistan, Reena Keonkaki, various topics were discussed with regard to the Pakistan-EU Relations between Pakistan and the European Union.
The two diplomats talked about matters of mutual interest and regional and international issues were also given due attention.
With an emphasis on the significance of multilateral cooperation, the Foreign Minister expressed his thoughts on the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the European Union.
He highlighted the need for continued positive progress between the two entities, particularly in the economic sphere, with the hope that the GSP Plus agreement will continue to yield beneficial outcomes.
The meeting served as a platform for constructive dialogue and a shared commitment to fostering a strong and prosperous relationship between Pakistan and the European Union.

Dr. Riina Kiona, the newly appointed Ambassador of the EUÂ to Pakistan, was accorded a grand welcome at the President’s House.
She arrived at the venue in an official horse-drawn carriage and was honored with a guard of honor by the Pakistani armed forces.
During the formal ceremony that took place at the Presidency in Islamabad on 1 July 2022, Dr.
Kiona presented her credentials to the President of Pakistan, Dr.
Arif Alvi.
The ceremony marked the official commencement of her tenure as the Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan.
Since her appointment in Pakistan, she has been actively engaged in public diplomatic activities.
