Islamabad, 10 February 2022 (TDI): The Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin said that the present government is sincerely committed to the agriculture sector’s up-gradation and development.

He made these remarks in a meeting held in the Federal Capital, Islamabad on Wednesday, February 9. Not only that but the incumbent government is fully supportive of farmers as well. Various incentives have been provided.

More incentives will also keep on coming for the farmers, he added. Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin additionally suggested that insurance of crops must also be provided. This must be done as a measure of sustainable support for the farmers.

Member National Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana was present during the meeting. Furthermore, Minister for National Food Security and Research, Syed Fakhar Imam, and the President of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited were also present.

It does so by providing financial services. Not only that but technical services and know-how are also provided by the organization. The target community is the farmers of Pakistan. They provide services and assistance in a sustainable manner.

This provision of services in a convenient and efficient manner, in return, ensures the success of the farmers and the Bank itself, as well. The end goal and objective is that by the earlier mentioned work, economic growth must be achieved.

Some other objectives include supporting the rural community of the country, raising the yield and productivity of the crops, building the reputation of the Bank as a proactive institution, engaging in various sorts of partnerships to reduce operating costs, etc. It is pertinent to mention that the Bank is the country’s Leading Agriculture Business Bank.
