CJCSC, services Chiefs pay tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed

Rawalpindi (TDI):The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Services Chiefs, and Armed Forces of Pakistan pay heartfelt tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on his 76th martyrdom anniversary, a statement issued by ISPR on Saturday said.

Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed displayed unwavering valour in defending Pir Kaleva Ridge against relentless Indian assaults in 1948.

His selfless heroism serves as an enduring inspiration to those safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, the statement added.

It further said that today’s commemoration honours the extraordinary sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, exemplifying their unyielding dedication to defending the motherland.

“We solemnly remember these gallant heroes who laid down their lives for the nation. The nation remains eternally proud of its brave sons,” ISPR said.

According to State-run broadcaster, Radio Pakistan, the 76th Martyrdom anniversary of Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed Nishan-e Haider is being observed today.

The day dawned with Quran Khawani and special prayers in mosques for the Shaheed.

Glowing tributes were paid to Naik Saif Ali Janjua by the religious scholars. In various functions, the religious scholars highlighted his sacrifices.

They said the living nations do not forget the kindness of their benefactors, adding that the nations, which do not honor their martyrs always face disregard.

Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed is the second recipient of Pakistan’s highest military award, the Nishan-e-Haider.

He was honoured for his actions of valor and gallantry during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1947-9148. He was also recipient of  Hilal-e-Kashmir award.
