Beijing, 18 October 2023 (TDI): Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Madame Peng Liyuan welcomed Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar upon his arrival at the Great Hall of the People to attend the banquet, on October 17.

The purpose of the event was to honor the global leaders taking part in the third Belt and Road Forum (BRF).

Senior Federal Cabinet members accompanied the Prime Minister.

The international leaders in attendance at the gathering engaged in casual conversations with the Prime Minister during the occasion.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar received a copy of People’s Daily, the country’s most popular newspaper, during his visit to Beijing.

The Prime Minister received the document from People’s Daily Political Desk employee Xu Wei.

“Testament to the shared understanding and bonds between our nations,” was how he described it.

Prime Minister said Pakistan valued its cooperation with China in the field of education and research.

The Prime Minister expressed these views in a meeting with Ren Libo, President of the Grandview Institution, Think Tank, held in Beijing.

While in China for the BRF, Prime Minister stated that cooperation between Chinese educational institutions and the nation might assist the latter achieve its objectives.

He described China as Pakistan’s loyal friend, supporting it through all of its tough times.

Moreover, he said on social networking site X, “We spoke about our future vision and shared aspirations. Thankful for his insightful advice and want to deepen Pakistan’s and China’s sibling ties even further.

According to the Prime Minister, China has long been a friend of Pakistan and has helped the country through all of its dark moments.

He praised the two nations’ collaboration in the fields of science and education.

The Prime Minister further said that Pakistan values exchanges with China in all spheres of life and wants to benefit more from them.

Several world leaders, including the Heads of States and Governments of Russia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Mongolia, Hungary, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Papua New Guinea, Mozambique, and Chile, attended the State Banquet.
