Beijing, 27 July 2022 (TDI): The President of China, Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the second China-Africa Peace and Security Forum. The letter was sent on Monday. The event is being held by China’s Ministry of National Defense.

President Xi Jinping stated in his letter that the realization of lasting peace, as well as ubiquitous security, is a joint aspiration of the African and Chinese people.

Along these lines, the President noted that China has always endeavored to inculcate deep-rooted relations with Africa. Moreover, China aims to keep its commitment to upholding the greater good in the quest for shared interests.

This will be done by adopting the tenets of affinity, pragmatism, sincerity, and good faith. Aside from that, Xi Jinping enunciated that China was ready to collaborate with its African friends to stick to the notion of common, thorough, coordinated, and endurable security.

In the same vein, the Chinese President reiterated that China will partner with Africa for safeguarding the international system with the United Nations (UN) at its crux.

Likewise, it will work with Africa to maintain global fairness and justice, build a China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era, and promote the implementation of the Global Security Initiative (GSI).

Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister, Wei Fenghe is representing his country in the forum. While talking to the participants of the forum, he called for improving China-Africa peace and security alliance.

The congratulatory letter to the forum sent by the Chinese President was also read out by Wei Fenghe during the meeting.
