Beijing, 11 September 2021(TDI): In a regular press briefing, the Ministry of foreign affairs China’s Spokesperson, Zhao Lijian told the press that terrorists are to be branded terrorists. There should be no intention to cater to self-interest while defining a terrorist. He added that China condemns all forms of terrorism against other minorities. Every ethnicity has the absolute right to flourish within a sovereign territory.
Making remarks on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Spokesperson Zhao condemned every act of brutality and warned that the situation has still not eased out of complications yet. Further cooperation between the international community to help counter-terrorism to restore peace and security completely is a dire need today.
The US has recently withdrawn from Afghanistan after a twenty years-long war against terror with an interim Taliban government being established as a result. This war took a toll on many countries including Pakistan in the region.
