Chinese Foreign Minister meets South Korean counterpart

Seoul, 15 September 2021 (TDI): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met South Korean Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong on his visit to Southeast Asian nations. The meeting called on for an increased mutual cooperation in various sectors between he two states. Bilateral trade and strengthening of diplomatic ties was stressed upon as the two states share immediate borders.

Wang Yi took and advantage of the event and clearly said that any conspiracy to halt the diplomatic closeness between the two states shall be refuted and discouraged. He also warned any further advancements by any foreign nation that would disturb the peace and order in the region. So far South Korea serves one of the buffer zones between the geopolitical situation between the US and China in the region.

South Korean Foreign Minister appreciated the role of china in upholding nations amid the pandemic and vowed to further their cooperation and mutual trust.
