Gwadar, 27 August 2022 (TDI): China’s Hangeng Agricultural Group, which is building an agricultural Industrial Park in Gwadar, received the first container of natural medicines from Africa at Gwadar Port.

The goal of the Hangeng Agricultural Group is to industrialize animal husbandry and agriculture in Pakistan.

The group is also interested in buying livestock and agricultural products from other regions of Pakistan to process at their facility in Gwadar and export them to China.

For Pakistani youth in Gwadar and throughout the rest of this country, the Group is ready to open up various employment opportunities.

China’s Hangeng Group official said, “We will process the medicines in our facility in Gwadar for onward shipment to China.”

He added, “We are a supply chain management company and aim to process pharmaceutical and agricultural goods in our Gwadar facility for onward export to China. Presently, we are in the construction stage at Gwadar Free Zone.”

The prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, visited the coastal city of Gwadar in June. He performed the groundbreaking for the Hangeng Agricultural Industrial Park.

A new chapter in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical processing industry and its exports to China will begin with the arrival of the first cargo of raw pharmaceuticals.

China and Pakistan relations

Pakistan and China have a long history together. Since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1951, both states have developed their relationship into a solid partnership.

Other than diplomatic and political relations, both states developed their partnership under the comprehensive framework of trade, technology, defense, and economy in the 1980s and 1990s.
