Beijing (TDI): President Xi Jinping’s special representative Vice President Han Zheng will attend the inauguration ceremony of President Donald Trump on January 20 in Washington, D.C., a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced Friday.
China follows the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation in viewing and growing its ties with the United States, the spokesperson said.

“We stand ready to work with the new U.S. administration to enhance dialogue and communication, properly manage differences, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, jointly pursue a stable, healthy and sustainable China-U.S. relationship and find the right way for the two nations to get along with each other,” the spokesperson added.
Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States is scheduled for Monday.

This event marks his second, non-consecutive term making him the first president to so since Grover Cleveland in 1893.
