Beijing (TDI): China and Singapore have started a joint military exercise focused on urban anti-terrorism operations, reflecting growing mutual trust and cooperation between their armed forces.
The Exercise Cooperation-2024, which began on Tuesday, is being held at a training facility in China’s Henan Province, according to Chinese media reports.
The drill focuses on joint anti-terrorism tactics in complex urban environments, aiming to strengthen joint command, coordination, and operational capabilities.
Troops from both sides are working in mixed teams, engaging in basic training, live-fire drills, and comprehensive live-action exercises.

Chinese and Singaporean commanders underscored the importance of the exercise in enhancing combat readiness, fostering traditional ties, and promoting bilateral military relations.
Singapore, as a city-state, prioritizes urban defense and anti-terrorism strategies.
The drill marks the sixth installment of the Cooperation series, with the previous exercise held in Singapore in September 2023.
