Beijing, 21 November 2023 (TDI): On Monday, the 10th meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee was co-hosted by Chinese Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov. Both leaders vowed to boost investment cooperation for new results.
Ding, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureathe u of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, expressed China’s willingness to cooperate with Russia to carry out the agreement reached by the two leaders and make full use of the committee’s role.
Ding stated that China is willing to cooperate with Russia to further explore the investment opportunities of both parties, advance pragmatic cooperation for more results and deepen the meaning of bilateral ties to improve the welfare of the two nations.
Ding also presented a four-point suggestion for strengthening China-Russia investment cooperation.

The first point is that China and Russia should collaborate for a new horizon of investment cooperation. Ding urged the two parties to improve the design and direction for bilateral investment cooperation.
The second point is to work together for new achievements in cooperation in key sectors, enhance assistance and direction for businesses of both countries and motivate capable and qualified enterprises to improve cooperation.
The third is to explore new opportunities for sub-national cooperation, foster regional integration, and improve alignment of trade, investment, channels, and platform building.
And to intensify pragmatic cooperation on agricultural cooperation demonstration zones and transport infrastructure.
The fourth point envisions a new future for long-term cooperation, maintain strong synergy and coordination, build a favorable environment, and boost bilateral investment cooperation.
Belousov stated that the Russian side is ready to cooperate with China to carry out the agreement reached by the two leaders, increase strategic synergy, make the most of the committee’s role, and achieve more results in bilateral pragmatic cooperation.
