China Cultural Center launches Ice & Snow Tourism Promotion Season

Islamabad, 4 January 2022 (TDI): China will be hosting the XXIV Winter Olympics in Beijing on February 4, 2022. To commemorate the event “China Ice and Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season” has been launched by China Cultural Center.

It has been launched under the guidance of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Publicity Department of the General Administration of Sport of China together with the Department of International Cooperation of the National Radio and Television Administration.

The Network of International Culturalink Entities and the Culture and Tourism Departments (Bureaus) of Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Jilin, and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region co-sponsored the event.

It will comprehensively present ice and snow culture, ice and snow sports, and ice and snow tourism in northern China to the world, and demonstrate the warm passions of the Chinese people to welcome the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

In this regard, the China Cultural Center in Pakistan sequentially launched snow and ice-themed exhibitions, documentaries, live broadcasts of well-known scenic spots, online tourism promotion weeks of various regions, etc. from January 4.

These will be broadcasted through the center’s public platforms like Facebook and WeChat Official Account. The purpose of the events is to illustrate to the Pakistani people as well as the netizens of the world the folk customs, gourmet food, natural landscapes of ice and snow tourism, and Olympic ice and snow sports of seven provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) of Northern China.

Moreover, they will also show China’s beautiful natural scenery, customs, and delicacies, incorporating the people’s winter life scenes, entertainment, sports, and other content into them, and experiencing the charm of winter ice and snow tourism in Northern China.
