Islamabad, 11 February 2022 (TDI): The Chinese Cultural Center in Pakistan is celebrating the “Year of the Tiger”, the Chinese Lunar New Year through online activities. In this regard, myriad activities have been prepared by the Cultural Center.
Chinese New Year is also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival. It is the most splendid traditional occasion for the Chinese people. Moreover, it is a significant holiday for rejoicing and family reunion.
People celebrate the beginning of a new year with various activities, during the Chinese New Year holiday, in the context of celebration. This year Chinese New Year fell on February 1.
China Cultural Center in Pakistan arranged a series of online activities, to experience the rich and diversified Chinese New Year festivities in China as well as around the world to commemorate the Year of Tiger.
Different online cultural events and activities have been posted online on Social Media fora of the China Cultural Center in Pakistan from February 1, 2022. The official Facebook of the Cultural Center and WeChat are conducting these activities.
These activities include multiple videos tours, Live Gala Performances, online 3D experience tours, photos exhibitions, and animation videos. The festive activities were based on various cultural themes to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The Cultural Center also organized Chinese New Year Photo Exhibitions on “celebrating Chinese New Year with Kids around the World”, Charm of Chinese New Year Children’s Animated short videos shows, Taiji Therapy videos series, Hebei Special Art Performance “North of River, Brilliance of Hebei”, and “Celebrating the Spring Festival with Dragon Dance Performances”.
In addition, other events broadcasted on Social Media platforms of the Cultural Center was an interactive experience tour titled “Winter Tour to Xinjiang”. Likewise, a video series on “Spring and the Chinese 24 Solar Terms”, video series on “Dream Ice and Snow Tour” and China Ice and Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season 2022 were exhibited as tourist attractions along with ice and snow culture in 7 provinces and cities in northern China.
They are Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Beijing, Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning. In the same vein, many more events marking the Year of Tiger were also organized by different provinces and cities; Shanghai, Henan, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu.
The online cultural activities arranged by China Cultural Center in Pakistan showcased the celebrations of the Chinese New Year around the world. Furthermore, they also portrayed the magnificence of Chinese traditional culture to promote tourism and send good wishes for the ongoing Beijing Winter Olympics in China.
