Construction of the facility began on September 21, marking a significant step towards enhancing the country’s renewable energy capacity.
The project is expected to generate 263 megawatts of power and will involve an investment of approximately $150 million, utilizing a land area of 621 hectares.
This solar power initiative is part of a broader effort by Uzbekistan to diversify its energy sources and promote sustainable development.
The move aligns with global trends toward renewable energy adoption and reflects China’s growing involvement in Uzbekistan’s energy sector.
