Recently, the ASEAN members have gathered at the Jakarta forum to discuss new ideas and plans to develop their economies under the framework of a “Blue-Green economy”. To enhance multilateral cooperation and economic growth states need to increase their investment and trade, especially in the marine sector, and improvements in the sustainable use of the sea.
In order to achieve the aim of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 the ASEAN member states and China would expand their sea infrastructure, marine tourism, marine services, and marine biotechnology industry by using the concept of “Blue Economy”. These kinds of initiatives help states to strengthen the mutual bond and they also bring peace and stability to the region.
