CapeVerde: July 5, 2021 (TDI) : Independence Day or the national day of the Republic of Cape Verde or Cabo Verde is celebrated every year on 5th July. The day is observed to celebrate Cape Verde’s and commemorates the country’s independence from Portugal in 1975. This year marks the 46thIndependence Day of Cabo Verde (Cape Verde).

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Pakistan Zahid Hafeez Chaudri wished the people and government of Cape Verde on the occasion of their independence.

Cape Verde has a rich history. The Independence Day of Cape Verde is celebrated by traditional dances and music performances. Parades are organized and political speeches mark the occasion.

It is an island and archipelago country, which is located in the Atlantic Ocean. It consists of ten volcanic islands with an area of 4,033 square kilometers of total land area.
