Islamabad, 28 November 2022 (TDI): England cricket team arrived in Pakistan for test series after 17 years on 27 November 2022. British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Christen Turner tweeted “Khush Aameed England to Pakistan” welcoming the cricket team since 2005.

England last played in Pakistan in 2005. They were scheduled to return the following year before abruptly canceling their trip after New Zealand also postponed a tour due to safety concerns.

Pakistan was compelled to play international games at neutral venues in the UAE as a result of an attack by Islamist terrorists in 2009 on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore.

Prior to the three-match Test series against the home team, the England cricket team arrived in Islamabad and was welcomed by Pakistani cricketers.

Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, and Syeda Nain Abidi were a few of the Pakistani cricketers that greeted the guests on Twitter.

Additionally, PCB stated that we are “delighted” to welcome the England cricket team, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) “can’t wait” for the Test series to start.

The first match will occur in Rawalpindi and start on December 1. The second match will travel to Multan and will begin on December 9. The third and final test of the tour will take place at the National Stadium in Karachi and will begin on December 17.

The England Team will conduct their first practice at the National Stadium on Friday night. In fact, exactly half of England’s 20-man side has played cricket in Pakistan before thanks to the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Abrar Ahmed, Azhar Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Haris Rauf, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Nauman Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wk), Saud Shakeel, Shan Masood, and Zahid Mehmood are among the Pakistani squad members under Babar Azam’s Captaincy

Ben Stokes (captain), James Anderson, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ben Foakes (wicket-keeper), Will Jacks, Keaton Jennings, Jack Leach, Liam Livingstone, Jamie Overton, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, and Mark Wood are the players for England.
