BRICS to lead global economy soon: Putin

Moscow (TDI):  Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that  BRICS countries will soon generate most of the global economic growth leading economic activities globally instead of the western countries.

Speaking at a business forum in Moscow the other day, Putin hoped to develop and make BRICS as a powerful counterweight to the West in global politics and trade.

Its size and relatively fast growth compared with that of developed Western nations is evident that the group will be leading economic growth in the coming years, Putin said as the Kremlin finalized preparations for hosting a BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan next week.
