London, 4 August 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson warmly welcomed the opposition leader of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
Both officials stressed the United Kingdom’s commitment to the people of Belarus and the financial support given by the former to the former’s civil society. They also agreed that both states have shared fundamental values such as democracy, human rights, and rule of law in Belarus.
“The United Kingdom stands with her and the Belarusian people in supporting democracy, human rights and the rule of law in Belarus.’’, said Boris Johnson.
