Minsk, 22 December 2022 (TDI): Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has announced visa-free entry for citizens of Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland at the start of next year as part of the aim to promote their bilateral relations.

As of April 15, 2022, Belarus introduced visa-free entry for citizens of Latvia as well as non-citizens of Latvia. This initiative will ensure that these citizens enter the country free of charge according to the visa laws of Belarus.

They have continued to ensure that their relations with Latvia remain strong as they implement this. Also, in the same month this year, they gave the citizens of Lithuania the same opportunity.

Various nationals and diplomats of Lithuania can now have the opportunity to travel to Belarus without visa restrictions.

The government of Belarus has been on its feet to ensure that these issues of visa restrictions among these countries are resolved proprietary.

Down the line, on July 1, 2022, they announced some good news to include Poland. The citizens of Poland are now allowed to have visa-free entry into Belarus. It is worth noticing that, these opportunities and initiatives will be valid until 31 December 2023.

In the statement, the Minister said “ Citizens of Poland have the right to enter Belarus through border crossing points on the Belarusian-Polish border.”

It is possible to use visa-free entry an unlimited number of times. The number of days of stay in Belarus shall not exceed 90 days per calendar year. These were some of the terms given by the government of Belarus.

Also, they stated that the need o ensure that some valid documents are needed was much emphasized. The valid document for traveling abroad include a green card, and a health insurance policy.

Belarus continues to deepen its diplomatic influence among its neighbors through the numerous initiatives being brought to play. They have been able to bring these strategies to as well promote the economic development of the country.
