Rabat, 22 December 2022 (TDI): Cheif of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi called on the Chief of the Royal Navy of Morocco, Vice Admiral Mostapha El Alami at the Royal Moroccan Naval Headquarters on Thursday.
CNS Admiral Amjad Niazi arrived in Morocco today for an official visit. Upon his arrival, he was received by the Naval Chief of the Royal Moroccan Navy, Vice-Admiral Mostapha El Alami, and was presented by the Guard of Honour.
According to the Spokesperson Pakistan Navy, during the meeting, both of the Naval Chiefs discussed matters of mutual interest including naval collaboration, regional maritime security, and bilateral cooperation.
CNS Niazi underscored Pakistan Navy’s initiative for ensuring maritime security in the region through Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP) and participation in Combined Maritime Force.

The Naval Cheif invited his Moroccan Navy to participate in the 8th AMAN Naval Exercise and Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC-23) to be held in February 2023 to promote the blue economy.
He also highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Armed Forces of both countries through bilateral exercises and training programs.
The Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Navy acknowledged the Pakistan Navy’s efforts and commitment to supporting collaborative maritime security for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Later, Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi called on Commander Northern Maritime Sector of the Moroccan Navy. He also visited various installations, training units, and Royal Moroccan Navy Ships.
During his visit, Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi was given a detailed briefing on the roles, capabilities, and training facilities of the Moroccan Navy.
The Naval Chief’s visit to Morocco will further augment and expand defense ties between the two countries in general and navies in particular.

Before the Chief of Naval Staff’s visit to Morocco, the Moroccan Envoy to Pakistan, Mohamed Karmoune visited Naval Headquarters, Islamabad, and called on Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi.
The two also discussed matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and bilateral collaboration during the meeting.
