Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister meets Director-General WIPO

Geneva, 1 September 2021 (TDI): Abul Kalam Abdul Momen, Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister, met with Daren Tang, Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), at the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Keeping in mind the “Bangladesh’s Vision 2041”, both parties talked about making it a success through the Intellectual Property sector of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister highlighted some of the priority areas for “Bangladesh’s Vision 2041.” Both parties also discussed the need for strong intellectual property rules and regulations that will boost development.

Both sides agreed that addressing the most pressing issues will aid in the achievement of Vision 2041. Priorities must be established by the sector that already contributes to the country’s development.
