Bangladeshi State Minister meets Mexican Deputy Foreign Minister

Mexico City, 28 September 2021 (TDI): Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Shahriar Alam met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Mexico, Carmen Moreno Toscano.

The long meeting opened doors for immediate results for both states. They promised to work closely and increase trade by encouraging businesses. Both leaders also made sure to keep track of the progress. Bangladesh’s Official also attended the 200-year Celebration of Mexico’s independence. It was a bilateral talk that included both states’ officials. Shariar Alam also led a cultural and military delegation to the event.

The two states established official diplomatic ties on July 8, 1975, four years after Bangladesh gained independence. Apart from trade and investment, climate change and poverty alleviation were also some important topics discussed.
