Baku, 10 August 2021 (TDI): Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan met with Michel Petermans, the newly appointed Belgium Ambassador to Azerbaijan yesterday in Baku.
Foreign Minister extended his kind regards to the ambassador and wished for stronger bilateral relations between the two countries. He expressed his satisfaction in the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belgium and discussed Azerbaijan’s complementarity with the European Union. Also, he briefed the ambassador about the escalating violence at the Azerbaijan-Armenia Border and the destruction caused by the conflict. On his part, Michel Petermans expressed his gratitude to the Foreign Minister for the warm welcome. He stressed the importance of student exchange between the two countries. Both parties vowed to enhance cooperation in the economy, trade, education, and commerce. With that, they discussed the ways to consolidate bilateral ties within the framework of International Institutions.
