Azerbaijan sends condolences following blasts in Kazakh Region

Baku, 28 August 2021 (TDI): Azerbaijan expressed concerns following reports of an explosion in a military warehouse in Kazakhstan’s southern region of Jambyl. The country offered condolences to the families of the victims of this unfortunate incident and wished everyone injured a speedy recovery.

According to the authorities, at least 60 people were injured as a result of the massive blasts in the Kazakh region. In a series of tweets, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that at least 30 of the injured were military personnel or emergency workers and that the situation was being investigated. Residents of four villages were evacuated, according to a Defence Ministry statement.
