Bayramov Jeyhun’s Business Visit to Slovakia
In the course of his business visit to Slovakia on 7 June, he was scheduled to meet with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia as well as other high-level officials, and he also attended the Round Table Conference.
Azerbaijan and Slovakia are on good terms with each other in terms of business relations. In order to develop economic cooperation between the two countries and unlock their potential in this sector, both countries have exchanged several visits and signed agreements.
Azerbaijan-Armenia Post-Conflict Situation
One of the significant topics on the agenda for this conference was the discussion on the post-conflict situation in the region and the ongoing demining process in Azerbaijan, which is a major concern for neighbouring countries’ security and peacekeeping in the region.
The Nagorno-Karabagh region has been the bone of contention between Azerbaijan and Armenia which has resulted in full-scale conflicts and frequent cross-border clashes between the two.
Though Russia has mediated a ceasefire between the two sides, the temporary solution is a matter of concern for the rest of the region.
Today marks the International Day for Mine Awareness. #MineActionCanNotWait, and entails holding those, including #Armenia, who plant mines indiscriminately & refuse to cooperate in dismantling them, accountable. We must end the enormous human cost they create.#IMAD2023 @UNMAS pic.twitter.com/JB8jhvBOc1

Demining the liberated territories of Azerbaijan remains a major challenge for the country, as the Foreign Minister tweeted on International Day for Mine Awareness.
The mines planted indiscriminately in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories have and continue to claim the lives of innocents, attracting the attention of many other countries as well.
