Adil Abish Oglu Aliyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis for Azerbaijan, visited Pakistan on an official schedule to attend the International Parliamentary Convention organized by the National Assembly of Pakistan.

The convention, “My Constitution – Guarantee of My Freedoms,” was organized by the National Assembly of Pakistan to mark the Golden Jubilee of Pakistan’s Constitution.

During his visit, Adil Aliyev attended many high-level meetings and expressed Azerbaijan’s dedication to fostering bilateral relations with Pakistan.

One of the highlights of the visit was Adil Aliyev, and the personnel of the Azerbaijan Embassy paid their homage by arranging flowers in front of the bust of Heydar Aliyev on the occasion of the National Leader of Azerbaijan’s 100th birth anniversary. Their gratitude reflected their sincere respect and appreciation for the great leader.

Adil Aliyev participated in the International Parliamentary Convention to honor the Golden Jubilee of Pakistan’s Constitution and delivered an eloquent speech during the convention.

The Deputy Chairman stressed both countries’ historical and enduring association. He stated Azerbaijan and Pakistan share deep-rooted and robust bilateral and fraternal ties.

The affinity between the two countries is characterized by mutual respect, trust, and alliance in various fields, including politics, defense, economy, and culture.

He underlined the significance of parliamentary collaboration in strengthening Azerbaijan-Pakistan economic and diplomatic relations.

Furthermore, he noted that the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan will continue to fortify with shared values, common interests, and mutual support.

Aliyev urged regular engagements and designated platforms to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen bilateral relations.

Both countries are devoted to further deepening their partnership in various domains, promoting regional stability, and working together for joint development and prosperity.

Meetings of Adil Aliyev with the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of National Assembly

On the fringes of the convention, Adil Aliyev met with Raja Pervez Ashraf, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly. The Speaker expressed his gratitude for Aliyev’s visit.

He emphasized the special place Azerbaijan holds in the hearts of the Pakistani people. He highlighted the need for stronger ties between brothers, mainly through the parliamentary friendship group.

Adil Aliyev offered the Speaker of Azerbaijan’s greetings. He appreciated the convention’s organization, emphasizing a desire to strengthen democracy in Pakistan further.

The Speaker admired the significant role played by the Azerbaijani Envoy Khazar Farhadov in Pakistan. He also discussed issues that shared concern, primarily those associated with the economy and growing legislative cooperation.

In another meeting, Adil Aliyev met with Zahid Durrani, the Deputy Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly. Durrani stressed the importance of parliamentary exchanges for expanding trade and business prospects between the two countries.

Durrani stated that deep-sea lines might assist Azerbaijan by enhancing international trade. He praised the role of Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov in Pakistan. Furthermore, NA Deputy Speaker Zahid Durrani invited Adil Aliyev to see Pakistan’s scenic wonders, which the Deputy Chairman gladly accepted.
