Azerbaijan’s Culinary on Display at Spring Festival 2025, Islamabad

Islamabad (TDI): The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad has set up a stall in the Spring Festival 2025, taking place at National University of Modern Languages (NUML).

The Azerbaijani stand is offering various culinary samples of the country’s national dishes and desserts, as well as souvenirs related to the history and culture of Azerbaijan.

Spring Festival at NUML is an annual five day event that has started today and is a major attraction for students on campus.

The Festival is a colorful and vibrant celebration in spring season in the capital city of Pakistan, which also becomes an amusement festival for students who show their love for cultural performances, music, food, and much more.

This year’s festival has a theme called Sacred Soil, Shared Spirit. 

In addition to Pakistan’s culture, this year’s festival is also displaying international cultures and cuisines, with separate stalls that have been set up by embassies of other countries in Pakistan.

Azerbaijan is one of the countries that has brought its rich culture and cuisine to the Festival. Apart from embassies, the international students and faculty members of the university are also setting up stalls representing their respective country and showcasing its attire and heritage.

Folk music, dance, book fair, stage dramas, poetry competitions, and speech competitions are other highlights of the festival.

The closing ceremony of the festival will take place on April 25, 2025.
