Islamabad, 9 August 2024 (TDI): After winning a gold medal recently, Arshad Nadeem posted a thank you note on Instagram and on X. Nadeem expressed gratitude in his message to Allah Ta’ala, his parents, and the people of the country for their prayers.

Along with Dr. Ali Sher Bajwa, whose assistance he attributed to helping him reach this milestone, he also recognized the important efforts of his coach, Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt.

In his dedication, Nadeem said that the gold medal was a unique Independence Day present to the country. In his speech, he emphasized the teamwork and encouragement he got along the way.

First of all, I thank Allah Almighty for this huge success, with the prayers of my parents, prayers of the entire nation and especially the tireless effort of my coach Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt and the support of Dr. Ali Sher Bajwa, I have achieved this massive milestone. Thank you All! Lastly, This Gold medal is a gift from me to the entire nation on the occasion of Independence Day.

Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won gold in the Olympics in Paris after setting a new mark with a throw of 92.97 meters.

After throwing 89.34 meters, India’s Neeraj Chopra, who was his major rival and the current champion, came in second place and took home a silver medal.

The national hockey team of Pakistan won a bronze medal in Barcelona in 1992, the last time the country appeared on the Olympic podium.

Along with the accomplishment, Pakistan has won its first-ever individual gold medal. Following a forty-year lapse, Pakistan receives the Gold medal.
