Male, 13 September 2021 (TDI): H.E Dr. Hugo Javier, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the Maldives, presented his credentials to the President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
In a special ceremony held this afternoon, the Ambassador presented his credentials at the president’s office. President Solih congratulated Ambassador Hugo on his appointment. The President expressed his gratitude to the Argentine Republic for their support towards Maldives candidature during the 76th United Nations General Assembly Elections.
Argentine had always remained a close friend to the Maldives. The ambassador expressed delight that the Maldives is playing an important role in the development of multilateral ties. Both sides expressed willingness to elevate bilateral relations in the future. Both leaders affirmed their commitments in the areas of mutual interests i.e. trade, economy, military, and tourism.
