Algiers, 8 June 2023 (TDI): A trade delegation from Argentina visited Algeria on June 6, 2023, to discuss ways to increase trade and investment between the two countries.
The trade delegation was led by Cecilia Todesca Bocco, the Secretary of Trade and Foreign Investment, and Carla Vizzotti, the Minister of Health.
Foreign Ministry and the Argentine embassy in Algeria organized this multi-sectoral trade mission.
In a series of events, the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Health also signed some pacts with the Algerian government to boost Argentinian exports ranging from foodstuffs to automotive parts and animal health and medical products.

The mission laid a foundation of strong bilateral ties and mutual growth towards achieving the shared objectives.
During the trade mission, which witnessed the active participation of both countries’ delegates, more than 120 business meetings took place, paving the way for future collaborations and fostering economic growth between Argentina and Algeria.

On the sidelines of the meeting of Carla Visotti and Ali Aoun, a memorandum was also signed. The National Agency for Pharmaceuticals (ANPP) and the Argentine National Administration of Medicines, Food, and Medical Technology (ANMAT) signed a memorandum of understanding.
The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, and the Secretary for International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco, maintained an intense agenda in the Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria, accompanied by representatives of fourteen Argentine companies and institutions, the Foreign Ministry reported today in a release.
Vizzotti stated that “this agreement between the two regulatory agencies, ANMAT, and its Algerian counterpart, is important to strengthen ties and carry out more projects.”
In dialogue with the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, Vizzotti, and Todesca Bocco agreed on the need to identify sectors of both countries to intensify bilateral trade and promote, for the same purposes, the creation of an Argentine Business Council -Algerian.
