Islamabad, 21 August 2021 (TDI): Foreign office of Pakistan welcomed its Third Spokesperson in less than 2 years. This time, Asim iftikhar replaced Zahid Hafeez. The new Spokesperson has previously worked as a Pakistan’s Ambassador to Thailand. According to official statement, Asim iftikhar held senior positions at Foreign Ministry and country’s foreign missions prior to his appointment.
Meanwhile, the former Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez has now been appointed as the Pakistan’s Ambassador to Australia and he will soon start his duty there, according to the statement. Zahid Hafeez replaced Aisha Farooqi Last year on 5 August 2020.
