Islamabad, 19 April 2022 (TDI): Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, called on Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

During the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador extended warm congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the role of Prime Minister of Pakistan. Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi also reaffirmed the desire of the UAE to boost bilateral ties further.

While Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on his part, thanked the Emirati Ambassador, lauding his efforts to promote bilateral collaboration between the UAE  and Pakistan in myriad domains.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan conveyed his cordial greetings to the leadership of the UAE. Moreover, he pledged to engage closely with the UAE to deepen and broaden the mutually beneficial partnership.

Along these lines, he also appreciated the vision of the Emirati leadership for the inspirational transition of the country in just 50 years. Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed to elevate the economic dimension of the relationship further.

He vowed to focus on enhanced investment, infrastructure, trade, food security, energy,  and employment generation, in this context.

Likewise, he proclaimed that Pakistan and the UAE enjoyed remarkable relations, firmly entrenched in history, shared faith, and geographical closeness.

He highlighted that close people-to-people contacts also strengthened these links. The Pakistani Prime Minister also recognized the vital role of expatriate Pakistanis in functioning as a robust bridge between the two countries.

Pakistan and the UAE enjoy close brotherly relations that stem from decades of close cooperation. High-level exchanges have provided a steady impetus to the development of the bilateral partnerships.
