Islamabad, 1 April 2024 (TDI): Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
Federal Minister lauded the vision and efforts of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the President and Supreme Commander of UAE armed forces for the development and transformation of UAE.
While speaking to the Ambassador, Defense Minister highlighted the importance of brotherly relations between the two countries and appreciated the similarities in views of both countries regarding major regional and international issues.
While expressing satisfaction with the existing collaboration, it was mutually agreed upon that there exists a scope for further increase in defense cooperation.
Ambassador Hamad meets Speaker National Assembly
Previously, in March the Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Alzaabi of the UAE called on Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of National Assembly.
Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, emphasized the enduring bond between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), rooted in mutual religious and cultural values. Stressing the significance of parliamentary exchanges, he highlighted their pivotal role in fostering regional prosperity and economic growth.

He lauded the UAE’s steadfast support during challenging periods, underscoring Pakistan’s deep appreciation for the bilateral relationship.
These sentiments were conveyed during his meeting with Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Alzaabi of the United Arab Emirates, at the Parliament House.
While talking about the significance of enhanced bilateral ties between both countries, he emphasized the need to revive the Parliamentary Friendship group.
He also extended an invitation to the Speaker of Parliament of UAE to visit the Parliament of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan has vast opportunities for investment and trade.
