Islamabad, 5 April 2022 (TDI): Turkmenistan’s Dean of Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador, Atadjan N. Movlamov, visited the Embassy of Turkmenistan on Tuesday.
Accompanied by Muhammad Naveed Malik, former Senior Vice President of the ICCI, he met Muhammad Shakeel Munir, president of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
Movlamov said his nation was eager to strengthen commercial ties with Pakistan since the two countries had a lot of potential in many areas.
The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps stated that his embassy was prepared to host an online business prospects conference between ICCI and the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This would enable the two nations’ business communities to communicate and explore new areas of mutual collaboration.
He stated that his Embassy will offer ICCI members a presentation on Turkmenistan’s exportable items and prospective areas of commercial collaboration between the two nations. Turkmenistan, he claimed, could provide LPG to Pakistan to cover its energy demands.
He discussed a variety of themes with President ICCI in order to promote Pakistan-Turkmenistan trade and commercial relations.
Speaking at the event, Muhammad Shakeel Munir, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanked the Ambassador of Turkmenistan for his offer of an online conference between ICCI and CCI Turkmenistan, as well as a presentation to ICCI members. He believed that these would aid in the exploration of new trade opportunities between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
He claimed that as a landlocked nation, Turkmenistan could develop its commerce and exports to a wide range of countries via the ports of Gwadar and Karachi.
He stated that Central Asia was a desirable market for Pakistan. According to him, strong collaboration with Turkmenistan would assist Pakistan in gaining greater access to Central Asian markets.
He also addressed several options with Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to establish economic links between the two nations’ private sectors in order to explore all unexplored areas of bilateral cooperation.
