Islamabad, 2 March 2023 (TDI): The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan attended the inaugural ceremony of the Regional Connectivity Desk for Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan.

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched the Regional Connectivity Desk for Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan on 1 March 2023. This forum aims to promote bilateral and multilateral regional cooperation and economic participation.

Diplomats from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Central Asian nations, Pakistani government officials, and Corporate Executives attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Yerzhan Kistafin, invited members of the Chamber to visit Kazakhstan and other countries in the region to explore business and investment prospects.

Kistafin noted that Pakistan and Kazakhstan have significant untapped potential for collaboration in various industries, including energy, agriculture, and tourism.

The participants enthusiastically accepted the invitation and emphasized their eagerness to explore new avenues for partnership.

During the occasion, the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry members addressed plans for expanding cooperation and implementing practical steps.

The primary focus is increasing trade and investment opportunities between Pakistan, Central Asia, and Azerbaijan. Entrepreneurs from Pakistan, Central Asia, and Azerbaijan can network and explore the prospect of working together at the event.

The Regional Connectivity Desk will serve as a forum for Central Asian and Azerbaijani companies to connect with Pakistani companies and explore new partnerships.

The platform will encourage sharing expertise, commercial prospects, and ideas. It will also help companies comply with legal and administrative requirements for trade and investment.
