Ambassador of Azerbaijan visits Allama Iqbal Open University

Islamabad, 31 March 2023 (TDI): Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, delivered a lecture titled “The founding role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of Azerbaijan-Pakistan Relations” at the Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad.

The speech was dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s National Leader, on his 100th birth anniversary. During his talk, Ambassador Farhadov briefed the audience about Heydar Aliyev’s critical part in the independence and prosperity of Azerbaijan.

During his remarks, Ambassador Farhadov provided context for the deep cultural and historical ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan since the Soviet era.

He noted the crucial part former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev played in forging and consolidating the two countries’ bilateral relations.
