New York, 21 September 2021 (TDI): On Monday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Asad Majeed Khan, along with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to UN Munir Akram welcomed Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York City.
The Foreign Minister arrived in New York to attend the 76th session of United Nations General Assembly High- Level Week, opening Tuesday.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed his pleasure to participate in numerous high-level meetings, besides holding bilateral meetings with his international counterparts and the United Nations’ leadership. During a meeting with the UN correspondents on Tuesday, Qureshi emphasized highlighting Pakistan’s perspective on various issues at the UN General Assembly, including a just resolution for the Jammu & Kashmir conflict, the need for equitable socio-economic development, and working together for Afghanistan’s stability.
