Islamabad, 3 February 2023 (TDI): A delegation from the Global Business Alliance had an interactive session with H.E Yerzhan Kistafin, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, to discuss business, education and trade opportunities in Kazakhstan.

The meeting aimed to explore ways to enhance economic relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan, being the largest landlocked country in the world, has a strong economy with a high Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) per capita in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Kazakhstan is also ranked among the world’s best at the  Global Competitiveness Index and has enormous business potential and opportunities.

H.E Yerzhan Kistafin highlighted the various business opportunities available in Kazakhstan, including sectors such as agriculture, mining, oil and gas, and renewable energy. He also emphasized the significance of education as a key factor in fostering economic growth and cooperation between the two countries.

GBA delegation was led by Muhammad Asif Noor, Chairman of Global Business Alliance, and Ahmad Ikram Lone, Vice Chairman of GBA along with representatives of companies from various industries, including textile, food production, household items, agricultural products, and logistics, all based in Pakistan.

The delegates from the Global Business Alliance were impressed by the potential for business and trade between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. They expressedKazakhstan their eagerness to visit Kazakhstan to explore further opportunities. The delegation also welcomed the news of direct flights from Pakistan to Kazakhstan in the last week of April 2023, which will facilitate trade and business interaction between the two countries.

The meeting was a positive step towards strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and exploring opportunities for business and trade between the two countries. The Global Business Alliance and H.E Yerzhan Kistafin are committed to exploring further opportunities to enhance economic cooperation between the two nations.
