Islamabad (TDI): The outgoing US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome on Friday shared the highlights of his tenure.
In a social media post, Blome expressed hope for Pakistan’s future and gratitude for the “warmth and hospitality he experienced in every corner of Pakistan.”

“Under the Ambassador’s leadership, the U.S.-Pakistan relationship entered a new chapter focused on shared goals and challenges,” the Ambassador said in a video message shared on X.
He also highlighted US investments in providing millions of Pakistanis with affordable energy, clean water, and smart agriculture.
“[…] we made economic reform, trade, and investment top priorities, and worked tirelessly to expand access to quality health care and education, combat malnutrition, create jobs, and uplift the Pakistani people,” it added.

Donald Armin Blome took over the charge of the US mission in Pakistan in 2022. Blome was the first full-time US envoy in Pakistan after a gap of four years.
Before his appointment in Pakistan, Blome served as the US ambassador to Tunisia, chargé d’affaires at the Libya External Office in Tunisia, consul general at the US Consulate in Jerusalem, and director of the Office of Arabian Peninsula Affairs at the US Department of State.
