Mersin (TDI): AgroFood Summit 2025 opened in Türkiye, on Wednesday, convening more than 500 agribusiness leaders from around the world to discuss the future of grain, oilseed, and pulse markets.
Organized by the Ukrainian Pulse and Soybean Association alongside APK-Inform, the three-day event runs until 21 November at the Divan Mersin Hotel. The summit is set for conversations on global and regional dynamics that are reshaping agribusiness.
Key themes include the fallout from international trade tensions on the global grain trade, fierce competition for oilseed raw materials in the Black Sea region, and the evolving role of major pulse traders like India, Canada, and China.
Experts will also examine Turkiye’s growing strength in agro-processing, especially in flour milling and feed production, and how Mersin’s port and free economic zone are transforming logistics opportunities for the Black Sea, Middle East, North Africa, and Asia.
Attendees come from diverse sections of the agriculture value chain; from manufacturers to traders, logistics providers, investors, and policymakers.

On the third day of the summit, participants will visit one of Mersin Port’s terminals, offering a firsthand look at the city’s logistical role as an export hub for agricultural goods.
Mersin is strategically important, not just for its seaport, but for its Free Economic Zone, which makes it a powerful gateway for agricultural trade into Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Over the next two days, five major discussion panels are scheduled, covering topics like global grain regulation, oilseed processing, pulse market development, and logistics innovation. These sessions aim to deepen cooperation among international players and forge long-term partnerships.
Organizers hope the summit will lead to new investment in Turkiye’s agro-processing infrastructure, stronger long-term trade ties between major producers and consumers, and more efficient global supply chains.
By connecting stakeholders from government, business, and finance, the summit aspires to contribute to global food security and open up more transparent, resilient markets.
