On December 22, the two governments signed a grant agreement in which the Indonesian government provided assistance to the NDMA of Pakistan in the amount of approximately USD 1 million.
The grant previously pledged by President Joko Widodo during a phone conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be used to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of the most vulnerable population in the aftermath of the 2022 Pakistan Floods.
Floodwaters in many flood-affected areas across Pakistan continue to recede. According to the most recent UN report on 06/12, approximately 11 districts in Sindh and two districts in Balochistan remain submerged.
