Ashgabat (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Turkmenistan on Thursday to attend the International Forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations-Basis of Peace and Development”.
The two-day forum is being held from October 10 to 11 in Ashgabat.
Upon arrival, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov welcomed President Zardari at the airport. The President was also presented with traditional bread and flowers.

The Central Asian country is hosting the international forum to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Magtymguly Faragi – a great Turkmen thinker, poet and philosopher.

During his visit to Ashgabat, President Zardari will address the International Forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development”.
At the Forum, he will underline the importance of the values of peace, unity and development for the region.
The president is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Turkmen leadership on the sidelines of the Forum.
