Beijing, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian on 25 September 2021 welcomed the Chinese business executive, Meng Wanzhou, on her return to home. The Foreign Ministry of China received a flower bouquet by some students for the endeavors to free Meng Wanzhou from the house arrest of about 3 years abroad.
When the Huawei’s CFO arrived at airport, her eyes were filled with tears. She was warmly welcomed by the people who were carrying flags of China in their hands. On her arrival she also received bouquet of roses. During her press brief, she began with these word, “Finally, I am home.”
Meng is the Chief Financial Officer and the Deputy Chair of the Board China’s company, Huawei. The company was established by Ren Zhengfei, Meng’s father.
The diplomats of China gave signs that the solution of this case would result in diplomatic talks between China and the US. The return of Meng was called a diplomatic coup by many.
